Long handled clippers and maybe some pruning shears.

I use a tree trimming clipper on a long pole. That way I don't have to get up close and personal with the raspberry canes.

They sell some clippers at Home Depot and Sears, etc. That will go through a 1 inch oak limb easily.

That should do it.

use a long handled pair of pruning shears . heavy gloves and shirt . then just wade in ,lol

Use long handled sheers, with the long blades. They're at Walmart.
