I'm sorry, but there is no way to play The Sims without entering the serial number that's given on the game case. However if you go to http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=7805&p_created=1094762905 you will see that there are 2 ways to obtain a new number for your game. The one that you will need to read is for LOST OR MISSING serial numbers.

If you meet one of the following criteria, you can send a request along with a nominal fee to Electronic Arts for a replacement serial number.
* The product is 90 days past the purchase date
* The original serial number has been discarded or lost
When sending a request for a replacement serial number, please include the following:

A money order for $10.00 USD (per serial number requested) made payable to Electronic Arts.

The proof of purchase page from your manual (If you no longer have the manual, include one of the game disks as verification of ownership.

Ok....there is no way. I am guessing that you lost the code. There is one way. download Limewire (www.limewire.com) and type in code Gen. and a programe should pop up. and then you download it. And what it does is gives you an code that would work with that game. If Code Gen does not work. type in Sims in it. and that might work! JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THAT IS ILLEAGLE
