There are no weld marks on this frame. The guy told me it was a California frame. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this.
Thanks,

I'm positive that this car has never been worked on. It is a rust bucket, 2 door post, Bel Air. Front clip gone, no motor or tranny.
Thanks a bunch to everyone for your response. You have helped alot!!!

Look at the bottom of the main frame rail under the driver’s door area. On 1-piece frame cars the bottom of the frame will be perfectly flat and smooth. This frame is often incorrectly called the “California” frame. The 1-piece design actually has nothing to do with California as it was used in all assembly plants in all parts of the US. The 2-piece frame design has a rough weld seam right down the bottom center of the frame rail front to rear.

YES! I don't know how many my dad has had and didn't keep oneof them! It is very special. You are very lucky to have one. Fix it up and go cruisin' or go to car shows, cruise nights etc. I am into the whole "tuner" scene, but I love the hot rods. My dad has a 1966 C-10 Chevy pickup that we cruise around in.
