i swear i've read somewhere that intense studying burns more calories than working out...can anybody help me out with this?

i can't back this up because i'm not doing the research right now, but i seriously doubt that sitting around and concentrating really hard burns more calories than physical activity.

Just research for half-hour to an hour, after which take a holiday. While you're taking a holiday, do something you desire for a little bit bit, after which research a little bit bit extra. Pretty quickly, you are going to have effectively studied the whole lot that you simply had to for the examination. Good good fortune!

Your brain doesn't burn many calories to function. I heard that to use your brain for an hour uses about the energy of a peanut.

No that is most definately a fallacy by all means. The only way to burn calories is to exercise your body. not your mind.

Irregardless of the amount of calories burned I maintain that the latter is unquestionably better for your health.
