i think hes probably scared cuz if he messes up hes scared that they might boo him and say he sucks so if hes faking it thats not a real team mate the selecao brasileira could count on

It happens in football, you play hard and your committed 100% these things happen, especially the position that he plays, you might not see him playing for the national team if he keeps on getting injured, he's had work done surgery wise, and if that's get knocked he could be ending his career
