mmmmm it is possible. But have you taken a new medicine recently, or tried a new food? One of the anti-vomiting drugs that is over the counter is composed of a 10% solution of a sugar. (possibly Fructose = fruit sugar) I am not even sure if it works. However, I have had to recently take a medication that makes me nauseous I must take it for 14 days but I hate the way it makes me feel. I take a tictac fruit flavor mouth refresher and it has helped my get through this episode. Sometimes you just get a certain chemical either in food or more so in medication that permeates your mouth and causes this kind of nausea. The taste may be so subtle you do not realize it is the culprit. I hope this helps

You really need to be chomping on some ice because you do need some fluids in your system. But I would say not to eat for a full 24 hours.
If you are still sick after that and not feeling better you better go see the doctor. I thought I just had the flu once and waited a full week before going to the doctor. I had some kind of an infection that would have never gotten better on its own.

Maybe it's food poisoning.
But you said no stomach pain is present, so I am not sure.
Nausea usually comes with vomitting or feelings of vomitting, and can be a effects of many different things.

if this continues over 2 days get to a doctor. you could have eaten something that might have affected your stomach. try to drink fluids hot tea, juices, water. you will dehydrate yourself. if that stays down, eat crackers, toast with a little jelly. no milk products. see if you can stand to eat soft peppermint. do you have a fever? that could be the trouble get well soon betty boop

It used to be called the dry heaves. Had a bout or two of it myself in the days of my yout'.
What's a yout'? Ask Joe Pesci now that Fred Gwynne has gone to his reward.

you can still vomit, but nothing will come out. maybe a little bile, which tastes NASTY. If you do, I would say drink some water each time to make it easier to puke next time.
Plus, the water will keep you hydrated if you are sick.

Shogun_31 is right -- and the bile can burn your throat and mouth. drink water -- even if it induces vomiting....your body is trying to get rid of SOMETHING....help it.
and it's always good to stay very hydrated when you're not feeling well.
