I've heard stories of people claiming to cure themselves of cancer through the power of thought and wondered if anyone with an auto-immune condition had managed to do this, or is it a myth?

I have Chronic fatigue syndrome and the year I got it I had been under a huge amount of stress. Then I got glandular fever and my body hasn't recovered. So I think the stress weakened my immune system and made it easier for the virus to really make me ill. So I think by the same token, that with some meditation or some way of working on getting rid of the stress in your life you should be able to improve your body's immune system. It won't cure you of the illness you have now but it will help your body fight it better. Good luck! :)

Positive thinking certainly helps. My dear friend is able to cure people by the laying on of hands. However, the people she treats must have a belief that she able to do it. Though she has not and will never attempt to try and cure anyone with an auto-immune illness by the laying on of hands.

My friend has a rare gift but she is unable to use this gift to heal herself, sadly she has MS.

It depends what the auto-immune disease is and how severe the symptoms are. If you're talking about HIV/AIDS, all the positive thinking in the world won't stop you being HIV-positive I'm afraid.

It won't hurt, but the answer is probably no - a "cure" means it will go away forever, and unless you can address the cause you might not be able to affect it.

The power of the mind is remarkable.
BELIEVE is the key. As Yoda said in Star Wars;
