Ive just found out that I am 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant. This is my 3rd pregnancy, first was sucessful and 2nd I had a miscarriage! Im worried that if I keep exercising that I might end up risking this pregnancy as well. Has anyone had a similar experience?
What do you think I should do?
I dont see my dr till the 16th Oct

I dont smoke, so that's a good thing lol. But I am over weight. I put on 25kgs/55 lbs with my first and have gain more since she was born (3 years ago).

honey, dont go by similar pregnancies, ask your doctor b/c they know ur history. In most cases excercising in preg. is VERY healthy, but only ur doc can tell u if it is going to compromise u carrying. Either call b4 ur appt. or dont exercise until you've asked.

If you really have concerns about the well-being of the fetus. Then you should stop exercising until you see the Dr. Yahoo answers isn't a place to post questions regarding the health of your unborn child or yourself...
Or, at least call the office to speak with the nurse. AND I'm sure she won't be able to tell you anything until you see the Dr.

Lay off the exercising until you see your doc - the 16th will be here soon enough. Generally, if you've been exercising all along, you should be able to exercise during your pregnancy. My wife jogged all the way into 9th month (she wore this big rubber band thing in the later months).

I'm not sure how much you excercise now, but they say you should continue to do the same excercise you do now, that its good for you. Don't let the m/c concern you, that's unfortunately just a "natural" way of your body telling you the baby wasn't healthy..I had the same thing happen. I would maybe slow it down as you get further along, but I definitly don't think you need to stop.

Ease off a little on the exercises that use the abdominal musculature for now. Cardio exercises will still be a good idea.

Don't exercise until you see your doctor. In the Army, we have pregnant soldiers do Physical Training and calisthenics unless they have had a miscarriage. Because you have miscarried, I would say do no exercise until you consult your doctor.

Normally they say that exercising is good, but in your case you shouldn't. i think that you might be at risk so wait until you see your doctor, good luck on your third pregnancy. hope it will be a sucessful one.

Light exercis is ok. Try walking or somthing like that. It is not good to get your heart rate up to high. Also make sure you drink a lot of water.
