To me this coming up election is more important than the presidential election. Why? Because, as I'm sure you all know it is not us who elects the president, it is the house and the senate. They are the ones with the electoral votes and if we don't get some of these republicans out of office this election, we don't have a shot in hell at winning the presidency in 2008. Vote democrat and make sure to tell all of your friends. Why am I so adimate about voting democrat? It has nothing to do with the issues, it has to do with the fact that the oil companys are the ones who have been sponsoring many of the republicans running for office. So, I believe if we don't get soem democrats in there, even though prices have been dropping slightly recently, (right before the election), go figure, that that they will sky rocket right back up and continue to rise, please vote democrat and encourage anyone you know who votes to do the same. Don't you think it's important Get those dems. voting.

Voting is a right, and everyone needs to vote in every election. Many of these Bonds are approved. If you ever wonder when and where the money for public work projects came from it was an election you failed to go to the polls. In Texas many constitutional amends are on the ballot, you need to vote.

Tammy, you really nead to read up on your Constitution.
Electoral votes are determined by the states, not by the Senate or House of Representatives.
Most states doll out their electoral votes in an "all or nothing" type election. Winner takes all. Each state gets a certain number of electoral votes.
It's always important for people to vote. I'd rather they did it in an INFORMED manner.

Do all you Libertarians, Greens, and PreNeo-Conservatives understand how important it is to vote Democrat next elections?
I'd rather share a cage for 2, 4, 6 years with a bobcat than with a cougar. Or with a donkey than with an elephant, for that matter...

Unfortunately the election will never happen. With the voting machines making their own decisions and the blatant corruptness, I would be surprised if Dems gain anything at all. However, if they allow the Dems to gain then you have to keep in mind that the Patriot Act states in it that " During an "National Crisis" all elections will be canceled to give the Country the needed stability". Now all you have to do is throw in the Pandemic that Bush promised would be here a year ago and there you have it.

Don't even bother voting, because Bush and other presidents are elected ONLY by THIS secret and evil group that's been in control of everything for far too long!...

You are incorrect about the electoral votes. Each state is designated a number of electors based on population of that state. The candidate who wins that state gets to choose who the electors will be.
I am democrat who will vote mainly republican. The democrat party has nothing to run on other than their hatred for the President.

Maybe I want, but I can't.
I'm from Puerto Rico. What injustice. I can't vote for the government that approved laws that affect my country and my life.
Yeah, second class citizen!

I'm sure democrats get it. Including the dead ones, the ones in the pen, the illegal ones, the multiple voters, the ones who are even now planning on how to scream "I was disenfranchised!!!" There was a road block and they wouldn't let me vote! That Diebold machine is a republican and it didn't register my vote...blah, blah, blah
