i know how to type in links for my qustions or answers but i was asking a question about abortion and i tried to copy the link but here is what it came out to be

what am i doing wrong?
also how do i find a link for a certain page? is it on the page or where do i look for it at?

In yahoo only a portion of the link is shown if it's long. Therefore without using copy paste method do this.
Right click the link and select "Open in new window". This will solve the problem.
The link you specified doesn't have two slashes (//). So it should be corrected as http://www.....

Your links are missing the second /. Eg, http://www.yahoo.com
When you are viewing a page, its address should be in your browsers address bar at the top of the window. Simply highlight it, right-click, Copy, and paste it into the answer text box.
