Freewebs offers free hosting as well as tools to spice up your webpage. It also has an online editor that makes editing your webpage easier.
Same goes with Geocities.com. But Geocities places ads on your webpage.

So try considering Freewebs instead.

If you want to download a website building software, you can go in for

1. HTML Area - http://www.htmlarea.com/
2. Evrsoft - http://www.evrsoft.com/

Depends... do you want a home-page kinda deal, where only you can see the page, or do you want something everyone can see? If you want a homepage, just install Netscape, and do a control E (Command E, on a Mac) which edits the page. Use the help section to get the basics down. If, on the otherhand, you want something everyone can see, just do a simple web search on creating a web site. I don't know any good programs for it, but I'm sure the someone on the web can help you. Good luck!

I totally agree with MATT. If you want to create something simple, check out the basics of HTML on the web. Its much faster than fniding a program and then building something from it, especially since most of those program create a lot of junk alongside the actual code.

In case you need any help, message me on YM ID dhruv19280.

All the best!!!!
