It should be able to receive the unscrambled "Basic" cable channels (provided they're connected) and all of the broadcast channels that your antenna can pull in. If you want to watch premium channels, you have to get a cable box and tune the card to ch 3, or 4.

A tv tuner card will show you all the channels provided by your cable operator. some channels with bad or poor signal quality will not be telecasted, same as your regular tv. one more use is you can capture movies or clips to your computer with a tv tuner card. ENJOY
