It's already public knowledge that the Bush administration has used marketing techniques to make ther blatant lies appear to be truths. One example is their repeated use of misleading phrases and so-called platitudes which, eventually, in the average person's mind evolves into "truth", like "fighting a war against terror" They have been successful for many years conducting this "BIG LIE" campaign (which, incidntally, Hitler successfully used). My question to you is, will this be the way of American politics from here on in or will some sense of integrity be forced upon future white house residents?

Integrity will not be forced upon any future presidents. Do you notice how much more people complain about integrity when we are losing a war or inflation and unemployment starts to skyrocket? A president will get away with everything as long as people like the results. If the stockmarket is doing great, and we go and kick butt in a war like desert storm, people will turn a blind eye to everything else.

the "Big Lie" campaign has been around way before Bush became president, don't give him that much credit.
lieing in politics always has and always will be the way it is.

and for those who think Bush is the "biggest" liar and worst president in history and the dumbest, i strongly suggest you read up on some of the past presidents we've had and then make an attempt to give atleast an educated assumption

Well, as long as they have spin-doctors to create certain perceptions in the media, it will probably stay this way. It also doesn't help when you have a populace that doesn't care about doing the proper research when they can be lazy and let the media pundits spoon-feed them the opinions the government wants them to have.

i think this has always been done but since this has been the dumbest president in the last decades the mistakes were bigger and it was eazier to notice the lies..... this has shown politicians that they can pretty much get away with anything they want
