Not sure what you mean by your past - if you were fired or maybe committed a crime or something. Have you tried places like Walmart or stores in the mall? They are usually hiring since the holidays are coming. Also I know in one of my desperate periods a few years ago I worked at a car dealership - they hire people pretty easily because they never know if they will succeed... and worst case is someone else takes the deal so they still make their money.

Good luck :)

If you're behind on bills, any job will help.

My husband works 2 jobs (about 70 to 75 hours a week between the 2) and still has time to hang out with our 2 children.

Best advice I can muster is to keep with it, and things will eventually work out. I know that's not what you want to hear, but really, it will.

Besides, as you probably already know, going into debt from someone, or asking for money is far worse of a feeling than doing things right yourself.

I think you should be a little more up front with "because of my past" so some one might be able to help you. Have you tried your local churches? Sometime they can help you with your bills, food and even medication if you need it. There is also social services. I don't know if this helped you or not. I will pray for you also.

Yeah, get the dad (or dads) to start chipping in their fair share. I'm sure there is free legal assistance somewhere that can help you out if you need to go to court.

If the dads can't or won't, I think I know what your "past" was like.

Try the MHMR office in your town and ask for a caseworker to be assigned to you.
