but since it was 9:37 when the twarp was removed, MLB probably felt that it was too late to get high ratings. and the Tigers werent even informed by MLB that the game was postponed, but the Yankees knew. probably to get them a bit tired. im not a yankees hater but come on!!!!

The game was postponed because there's no way of knowing what the rain is gonna do. They were trying to be sure that they wouldn't start a playoff game, play 2 innings... and then get rained out.

That would have ruined the pitching for both teams for the whole series.

Could you imagine if Justin Verlander only got to pitch 2 innings.. then had a 2 hour rain delay and the game was cancelled? Then he couldn't pitch again until AT LEAST a Game 5. It would kill the Tigers.

truly no. the only in the 1996 international sequence develop into extra perfect. In interest 4 the Yankees were down 6 to no longer some thing and received it in extra innings on the line. That 4 interest sweep after dropping the first 2 at homestead develop into more suitable.

What you don't know (because you clearly are not a fan) is that there was a second wave of storms that were as bad as the first wave.

Come on, I am a yankee HATER (and darn proud of it too!) and I know that MLB wants what is best for the game, and thier fans...not just yankees

It looked like it was raining really hard from what I saw
and they expected it to rain even more later that night.
They made the right choice by postponing it.
It's not a conspiracy against the Tigers.
You're being paranoid.

no no. the facts are: there was a storm 90 miles away after they pulled the tarp off the field and they didnt want to start the game and have it rained out again. they ended up being right cuz it started to pour around 10:30(eastern time).

Being a Tigers fans--I really don't think this helps or hurts either team! I thought the strike zone in the 1st game was very consistant! So they play weds. at 1pm--big deal-a flight to Detroit is only a couple hrs fromNYC
