She used to be so amazingly HOT,then she went off and became anorexic and looks disgusting. Why would she want to ruin her hotness?

They say addicts simply trade one addiction for another. So with that thought process, it would only make sense that she has traded her serious drug addiction for a serious eating disorder, which is also an addiction.
I believe the root issue here is insecurity, possibly stemming from being adopted or being African American (the majority of her friends from a young age were Caucasian - as a child, it can hard to understand that differences are okay). Insecurity can present the distorted view... "while your environment seems out of control, you can still remain in control of your body". In her mind, she has not necessarily "ruined" her appearance, but has gained control of her body, and that control seems beautiful and full filling.
I agree she was a very attractive woman. Now, all I see is a woman who is obviously in great emotional distress and in need of help.

You're absolutley right. Nicole Richie was BEAUTIFUL before she became anorexic, but unfortuanatley, she did not think so. She felt insecure about herself and her body and she still isn't realizing that she needs to gain a couple pounds.

She had said that she was always that thin but after she quit the drugs put weight on. And that now she is learning to keep the weight off without going back on drugs.
I think it's because next to Paris she looked like the fat one. Now Paris looks like the fat one.

Because theres so much pressure to be skinny and look aneroxic in hollywood and shes not the only one either like Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff have the same problems....some people are crazy!

Eating disorders are considered a mental illness and she probably can nto help herself and thinks she is totally fine, I honestly blame her family for how bad she looks.
Her family needs to get her help, she is very unhealthy and I am very surprised she has not ended up in the hospital yet, if she keeps this up it is possible she can die.
