OMG!!
My highschool guyfriend who is Vietnamese used to say it a lot, too. My friends would mock him, though.
I think it was a Vietnamese thing to say, as I have heard it before from other people of that NAT.
Are you Vietnamese?
Train yourself by finding a good substitute phrase to say everytime you have the urge to blurt that out. Like something that sounds friendly instead of threatening.
Maybe like what's up, how's it hangin', party people?
Do you say it whenever you get upset?
Just find better choice words and then use it over that.

It's totally up to you on weather you want to fix this problem. You are in full control and you have to believe that you will stop saying this. Try, like a family thing with the fam or friends where every time you get caught saying "I'll kill you", there will be consequences. Take it easy!

Have someone close to you make you a swear jar, and everytime you say it, you have to put a quarter, or dollar, or penny whatever you want in it, that worked for my husband who said something else all the time. Everytime you put money in it, you will realize how much money you are losing and you will stop.

Get away from anyone who makes you want to say that. Actually, it's quite hard to break this habit. I find something else to say with a slightly nicer sentiment.

Just bite your lip every time you say it. Bite just hard enough to hurt. I reckon you will be cured within a day.
