I'm studying for a degree in international business and commerce. I may go for my master's at some point so that's why I'm concerned. So far I have A's in all classes this semester but I'm worried I'll burn out. I have to work a lot to pay the bills too.
I wonder why my question is getting thumbs down, is it because people are jealous that I have a high GPA? That is pretty juvenile :/

3.8 in core subjects
2.8 in the electives!
4.0 in everything is not important. Unless you really need the scholarships. Put your best efforts into the classes that are required for your degree plan. And make decent grades in the electives. You will be proud of yourself and if you plan to further your education with a graduate degree or a PHD or to med school. that what they look at the core grades in the core subjects!!

I don't know since I am new to the school I am at so I havent established one yet, but the last junior college I was with I had a 3.0 which dropped to a 2.9 after catching a C in a science class and I had Phi Theta Kappa honors.

your GPA all depends on what you want to do. If you need to keep your grades up because you want to go to med school then it's important. By the time i finished college i had a 3.5 or something like that, i don't even remember. I had to keep it up to get in grad school, but it really is true that no one asks you your grades when you get a job. And if you need good grades for grad school don't stress yourself out!!! always take time to relax and do things you enjoy, it will help you focus better when you need to study. Now i don't even keep track of my GPA, i have to keep above a 3.0 or else i get kicked out....so i know i at least have a 3.0 :)

My GPA in college was a 3.0 and that is barely! GPA is not an accurate measure of intelligence, because I now make more in one month than the college professors make in a year.
Just the facts!

4.0, 3.0...what matters is you try your best and don't feel discouraged about a 3.0 if you're a 4.0 student. Tides come in and leave. Stick with the fairest wind and keep on sailing.

it was 3.5 until this year. (I'm a junior) After one bad semester I think its dropped to 2.something. In college try to concentrate on learning more than the numbers, there are some teachers that don't give A's to underclassmen as a rule.

4.0 / study hard and you can maintain that average. I'm a homeschooling mom with 4 kids and manage to keep my GPA up with a full load. You can too.

That's impressive, what is your major?
Graduated last year with 4.0, was worried I'd slip somewhere and get a B.
