I can remember when if you undermined the efforts of the country to fight an enemy, especcially during time of war, that you risk being tried for treason. It used to be punishable by death (which might be extreme), but even if the sentence were only a stretch in prison, it should still be done. We are in an extremely dangerous time in history and national security is most important now more than ever. We are fighting a dangerous enemy that could destroy us and the entire free world as well. Why are there so many idiots out there doing everything they can to undermine the war in Iraq? Even some polititioans are selling out to the enemy. Don't they understand that we as a country are in grave danger to be annialated ? If we don't defend ouselves overseas we will have a bigger mess than we had on 911 right here in America and even more Americans will be killed than are being killed in Iraq.

To the modern american left, Treason is the highest form of patriotism. Therefore to challenge their patirotism by pointing out their traitorous actions/words is unpatriotic. Riiiight.

Hey, jimmy, the constitution also outlines the guidlines for treason, which include certain speech. Try looking at the whole constitution instead of the only one that protects you from your reckless actions.

...the entire free world huh....wow...America must be home to the most frightened white people on the planet...unbelievable.

Treason....maybe treatment and the need for it is a better word for those of you who are so consumed with fear.

And frankly there aren't any Americans, no matter their position on the war, who are undermining the war effort in Iraq. The government has done that very well without any outside help.

And lastly, I think it is treasonous to suggest that Americans are not entitled to speak out when their country is doing the wrong thing.

First off, GO READ THE CONSTITUTION! Treason is only possible if during a time of war someone knowingly discloses information pertaining to national security which might compromise said security. There are only two sentences for Treason - Death or Expulsion from the US and its territories. Also, just because somebody doesn't agree with your point of view doesn't make it treason, it is our duty to the country to question and watch over our government and not just take what it says as verbatim truth. If you want to know the truth, G.W. has done more to damage national security than anybody talking trash about him or the government, he can't be charged with treason though because he hasn't given out any information to the enemy.

All those libs will be crying bloody murder if that ever happened. Ask a dem what their plan is for in Iraq...

"For a lot of Democrats it is a very successful strategy to simply mirror the voters' underlying discontent with the war, but not to offer specifics that make them a vulnerable target," said Matthew Woessner, an assistant professor of public policy at Pennsylvania State University

Do you really think anyone who opposes what the government is doing, whenever it decides to go to war, should be executed?

Dear, there are dozens of countries around the world that would make you feel much safer personally and more content politically.
You should move there now while they still give Americans visas.

It's NOT about a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedoms". It's REALLY all about THIS!...

It is no longer politically correct. Politicians no longer have the spine to go against the wishes of the liberal media.
