i have red bellied piranhas and i wanted to put a small pack of exodon tetras in with them but most people said it was not a good idea....who are good tankmates, if any, for exodon tetras and do you have any good sites on them?????

ps. weird question but i recently bought a large container of freeze dried krill because my piranhas love the frozen ones but i ran out..the freeze dried ones float and my piranhas wont eat from the surface. i was just wondering if anyone has a good way to get them to sink (leaving them in the water doesnt help, they DONT sink lol)

all i really know about exodon tetras is they are midsized, have very large teeth, are aggressive carnivores, and i heard they can live well with piranhas but..

freeze dried suck..take them back.. the tetras may work ..its just trial and error..piranhas will school up with other fish. i did it with small crappie i got in a lake.. how many piranhas do u have? if they are small still try some cheap schooling tetras first..serpae,scissortails, or silvertips..maybe Colombia tetras . i've had some 3" before.. the exodon will be $$$.. not feeding them goldfish will help..larger longfin black tetra may work.. i tried tiger barbs once , they eat the piranhas tails..i still trying to think of more larger cheaper tetras to try first..

I exchanges a bottle of livebearer pellets as they were too big for my fish to swallow without any problems. Maybe you should try to exchange your as your fish can't eat them either. You could also try increasing your water movement so that they get dragged under by current. In the long run, spending more money because you spent money seems silly.
