Acute sciatic nerve pain can be fixed with a course of Prednisone.
If it's been bothering her a long time, she might need more drastic measures.

My mom had the same thing. She went to her chiropractor and he was able to heal her within a few sessions. The nerve is currently "pinched" and by aligning the bones correctly, the nerve will no longer be trapped and therefore normal function will return.

Have some one check out the length of her legs. If there not the same she may need a heel lift in the shorter leg to relieve the pressure.

I feel 4 ur mom, b/c I have it to.
It's coming off back problems.
I go to a pain clinic & get shots in my spine. It helps.
