A friend lent me his snake and its about 40 feet long I want to wind it back in its handlend casing.. how do I do it .. thanks

chances are if it is like my General (make) snakes - grab hold of the snake cable and forcing it back into the cage by hand. just push - there isn't any mechanism to do it for you. (hope you are wearing gloves by the way.

Does the casing have a cranking device? At 40 foot long it should.

It's a lot like rewinding a long extension cord. It kinda has a "memory"

If the "handled" casing is completely closed in, with no rewind crank feature, I suggest asking the person who loaned itto you, how they accomplish the task,,,and don't borrow that particular tool again, without knowing,,,no offense meant.

there is a little wing nut that locks the snake in place. loosen it. then grab the big handle and start to turn the case.
