That would depend, in MLA format it should be 1 inch all around, but basically it's up to you. However you want them, that should be, but if it's for a class, then I suggest that you use 1 inch margins.

Use MLA format. go in google type in MLA Format trust me I did it for my Junior Thesis. margins are 1 inch sides and from top 1.5inch
