i own a repair shop,,and it wont hurt anything at all if you do this, i do it all the time in my own vehicles, and im sure a lot of my customers do it also,,but it cant and wont hurt a thing, there's very little difference in the two types of gas anyway, most of the time the octane rating is all the difference there is and that wont hurt a thing,,good luck i hope this help,s.

If your car does not call for premium unleaded, there is no reason to pay extra for it. The only difference is in the octane rating which does not provide any benefit if you don't need it. If the price is the same, either product will work fine in a normal car and switching back and forth is no problem.

NO....each grade burns differently on your piston and will vary the surface of the pistons so that only the premium will allow to run w/out pinging and skipping....stick w/ the cheap stuff as most cars are designed to run on it. Once you go premium tho you won't get the same performance on regular unleaded.

It should be fine, unless the unleaded is below your manufacturer suggested octane rating, in which case you may experience some knocks from the engine, which arent very serious

You should be fine. The only time you really need higher octane gas is if the manufacturer recommends it or if you have a turbo car and have increased the boost beyond specs.
The ONLY thing higher octane gas does is reduce engine knocking from premature detonation. If you're car isn't experiencing any knocking, don't waste your money on higher octane gas: it will not increase performance, clean your engine or do anything else.

Read the specs for your vehicle, and use what it calls for. Unless you have a high output high compression engine, you will probably need the standard grade of gasoline. Using premium won't hurt your engine, but it won't help it either, and it's a waste of your money to use a higher grade than needed.

Most new cars have computer chips that allow it to subtly adjust its performance based on the type of fuel you use.
Its best just to use 87 all of the time. Unless you are driving a high end sports car.

Unless your car requires premium fuel it should have no effect. The fuel management computer will adjust to fit your driving needs.

Run the entire tank out, first, between grades. Or, do an exact 1/2-1/2 mix.
