That is a lame excuse, isn't it?? He is merely trying to weasel himself out of trouble by making people feel sorry for his sick a$$. Not working with me.

No, he said a priest molested him as a child. Of course,
he probably thought that was normal if a man of the cloth
was performing acts on him (or vise-versa), so he ended
up being gay (probably because of the perverse thing
that happened to him early on in life). Having a drinking
problem did not help him (or anyone else) any. He resigned
and that was the thing for him to do even tho he and the
kid never had skin contact and only e-mail contact.

The AA program is is well respected and I am disgusted that every time a politican or celeb gets in trouble, they head to treatment for a while. Foley and Hastert both belong in jail where anyone else with that knowledge and action would be!!!!! I don't care which side of the aisle they sit on..........

If it works and of course to top it off he was molested by a clergyman.

As I said in answer to a similar question. Foley is the first Republican to have an "Exit Strategy".

No. He's come up with a couple of others - he was molested as a child - he's gay.
Wonder what he'll come up with next.

No. His better excuses are that he is gay AND he was molested as a youth. NOT. Isn't that pathetic!
