My dad told me I have a huge sess pool under the driveway which will cave in if a heavy tractor or concrete truck rolls over it, so I need to have it dug up first and filled in with whatever they fill it in with. What to do first? Who do I call, and how do they find that sess pool? Dad died in January.

I live in east central illinois and I dont think there is anything called clay red mud here. We have black dirt and corn and beans being harvested everywhere right now. Elevators drying down the road.

If you have a cesspool (septic tank) where the driveway is located, I would not place a concrete driveway over it. Have you considered stone/gravel?
If you are determined to have a concrete drive, I would consider making an appointment with septic system engineer. Have them review your system and the options available to you for a concrete driveway. I would call you local town hall and ask for help finding an engineer. Another alternative is calling a septic system service company and have a meeting asking for advice, etc...

Good Luck! :)

your environmental health dept. should have a drawing of where your sess pool is. if not they will come out and probe for it.
also check into asphalting the drive. it will be cheaper. m
