why do you take your shoes off before entering your home?

yes i do because you bring in all kinds of dirt and germs on you feet. i expect others to ask if they should. They don't have to but i like it when they ask. I also remove them when visiting too.

I don't. I wait till I'm in the door and sitting down in my chair before I remove my shoes. And if I'm just going to be home for a couple of minutes before I go back out again, I leave them on.

2. Some people find it that House is supposed to be sacred.
3. Some people find it that since God is inside every house, shoes are always kept outside.
4. Or its just someone's rules in cleanliness or may be he or she decides what is best!

You walk on the street, step in dog poo and other crap, so why sould you want to roam on your carpet with the same shoes...
Also, it is part of the culture where I come from.

It shows respect and they hate to dirty the carpet. Me, however, I hate taking my shoes off in anybody's home. I rather not come in.

i don't b4 entering my home, but i do once in the door to help prevent tracking in dirt onto the carpet.
