The Top 10 Worst Wrestling Gimmicks Of All Time:
10. The New Breed - from back in the 1980s, they wrestled in World Championship Wrestling. They carried the guns from the Nintendo system and claimed to receive advice from Optimus Prime, because they were from......the future.
9. The Ding Dongs - again, a WCW team from the 1980s. The Mulkey Brothers were a team that lost to everyone. Well, the writers decided to put them in masks and have them ring bells on the way to the ring.
8. Zeus - Taking a B-movie actor and turning his character into an unbeatable (wink, wink) wrestler. It was just a way to generate interest in Hulk Hogan's movie, No Holds Barred.
7. Repo Man. With Demolition being no more, Barry Dharsow (aka Smash from Demolition) needed a new gimmick. He couldn't go back to being Krusher Kruschev...no, that wouldn't be politically correct. So, let's put him in a suit covered with tire marks, a black domino mask, and have him sneak around on people.
6. The Mountie - I guess Vince McMahon liked watchind Dudley-Do-Right as a kid.
5. The Genius, Lanny Poffo - As if Leaping Lanny wasn't a queer enough gimmick...
4. Flash Funk - Taking a talented wrestler like 2 Cold Scorpio and turning him into a self-styled pimp wannabe...no wonder he joined the J.O.B. Squad.
5. The Sultan - They couldn't come up with a better gimmick for Sal Fatu in the time between The Samoan Swat Team and Rikishi?
4. Johnny B Badd - Why have a wrestler who is a knock-off of an effeminate 50's musician?
3. David Arquette, WCW Champion - enough said!!!
2. Tugboat - Dressing a fat guy up in red and white striped shirt, white pants, and a sailor hat....someone on WWE Creative was a lifelong fan of The Village People.

1. The Gobbledygooker - For months, the WWE (or as they were known then, the WWF) teased this giant freakin' egg that they trotted out on all their shows. When it finally hatched at Survivor series, what popped out but something that looked like the mutant cousin of the San Diego Chicken.

Making the Franchise Shane Douglas.. Dean Douglas and having him become a teacher..Well that and the Honkey Tonk man.. that was the gayest gimmick of all time would have to be those two.

All the gimmicks past 1995 except for a few and the main one that was the best was: WE ARE THE NATION OF DOMINATION WHICH NICESTY GIRL CREATED, SHE WROTE THE GIMMICK AND THE LYRICS (SONG) BUT NEVER GOTTEN CREDITED FOR.
She created that gimmick in 1990 and gave it to Ron Simmons (WHO SHE WAS DATING AT THE TIME) on December 15, 1990, the eve before WCW Starrcade 90, SHE TOLD HIM THAT SHE HAD CREATED IT FOR HER YOUNGER BROTHER JERRY TO USE, WHEN HE GREW UP BECAUSE HE ASKED HER TO CREATE A GIMMICK AND A SONG FOR HIM SINCE HE WANTED TO BECOME A PRO WRESTLER, BUT LATER THAT YEAR HE CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT BECOMING A PRO WRESTLER. SHE TOLD RON to GO TO VINCE COMPANY AND USE IT THERE AND TELL VINCE SINCE SHE WAS THE CREATOR OF IT THAN FOR HIM TO GIVE HER CREDIT AND ETC, WHICH HE DID NOT AND UNTIL THIS DAY HAVE NOT. SHE TOLD RON THAT VINCE HAD BEEN KNOWING HER SINCE AUG 1987 AND HE BECAME EXTREMELY ANGRY WITH HER FOR TURNING HIS OFFER DOWN FOR WORKING FOR HIM AS (BRUTUS THE BARBER BEEFCAKE) VALET. SHE TURNED HIS OFFER DOWN BECAUSE VINCE WAS TRYING TO MAKE HER WORK WITHOUT A CONTRACT WHICH HE DID TO SOME OF HIS TALENT AT THE TIME.
Remember Nicesty Girl is the mother of three pro wrestlers: two of them are Richard Morgan Fliehr (known as Ric Flair) and Kurt Angle.
