You can't do anything to make it happen. You will or you won't. Stop stressing over something that doesn't matter. You are about average anyway.

If you're 5 foot at almost 16...you're really not gonna grow much more. Even if you do, you'll be maybe 5'1'' or 5'2''. At this stage in the game you're not going to be like 5'10'' or anything like that, unless you're some really really strange case like you are a super late bloomer or something...which isn't the case since you're so well built. By the time you're 15/16 you're near adult height, maybe 1 or 2 inches shorter. I was 6'3/4'' when I was that age, now I'm 6'1 1/2'' a year later (almost 17) and the doctor says I'll grow another half inch to an inch. So between your age and final adult height I grew about 1 inch or so. Perhaps you can get supplements from your doctor, those hormone shots.

First of all........STOP the stress!!
If you keep comparing yourself to others, you'll never be happy with yourself.
You are still very young and you have a bit of growing left to do, so why don't you enjoy your time as a teen, stand up tall, be confident, and go on with your everyday life?
No, you're not going to be short like your mother, and you may not be as tall as your father either. And then again you may be 6' and surprise everyone :)
This is the very last thing you should be worrying about at your age. Just leave it, and be happy with yourself.
Before you know it, two years will have passed, and dad will be looking up at you!!
Please be happy :)

I was 5'5 or so when I was 15. By the time I was 18 I was 6'4. Ask your father when he grew taller...
One thing that might've helped me was for breakfast in high school I had the ever healthy glass of milk with a chewable vitamin, and a chunky granola bar for the walk to the bus stop.

You still have plenty of time to grow. If you're really worried about it, you can ask your doctor how tall you may grow. You can get an approximation that way. My younger brother didn't get taller than me until after he was 16. He's now over 6'.

You could still get another growth spurt. You should get some regular growth for a few years. X-rays can tell if your bone growth is completed. There is a range of height for all of us—some people have to be shorter and some taller. We pretty much have to play the cards that nature deals us.

How tall were you on your second birthday? If you can find that out and double it, you will grow to at least that height. Michael Jordan grew 6 inches in High School... There's hope for you yet!
