i'm pretty sure it's about helping this person through some really tough times and actually preventing them from suicide. but then again, i've only heard it a couple times.

One of the most common questions spouses ask when confronting a marriage crisis is this: How can I save my marriage if my partner doesn't want to help find a solution? How do I succeed I am trying to save my marriage on my own? Learn here https://tr.im/2wMLE
It is a typical enough story: one partner leaves, the other stays. One remains 'in love', the other is uncertain. Whatever it is that has caused a couple to be apart, the one person who remains bears the prospect, fear, doubt, desire, hope of saving his or her marriage' alone.

Its definitely about a relationship....The Fray is actually a Christian based band, although they don't come out and say it....perhaps there was a suicide, and the singer regrets not helping him/her when they were alive....but its not a bad song...I love it too and could listen to it over and over!

I love the song to... I have to listen to it 5 times a day.. it sounds like it's about a suicide, but the music video contradicts that because it has young people in relationships... I dunno. The song still rocks though!
