There is no way you can unless you were doing in-vitro fertilization and was having a procedure that can go along with it called PGD, this adds an additional $3,000 to $5,000 dollars on to the cost of IVF. That is the only way that you can pick the sex that you want to have or you can adopt if it is so much of a gender selection issue.

You can't. There are plenty of old wives tales around about how to get a boy or girl, but it all comes down to a random sperm out of millions getting there first. The only way I know of, and it is very expensive, controversial and not widely practiced is IVF and gender selection. It was developed to avoid certain sex linked diseases but has now found a market with people wanting their 'ideal families'. You can read about it at the link below.
Other than that, why not just sit back and wait for the biggest and best surprise of your life?

You really cant decide what you are going to have when you are trying to get pregnant. The only way that you can make sure you have the sex of your choice is to go to a clinic or doctor. Cause they can do ivf and do a selection of what sex you are wanting to have. All of the old wives tales of you can do certain things to have a certian sex dont work. Cause I tried them all. I tried for a boy on the first time, in the end I had a girl. And I had a girl the second time as well. But hey you can try if you want too... What can it hurt?

there is no way you can ensure a gender, only God is the one who can decide that....on the other hand there are some places where they are trying to help you get the gender you want with science stuff, I read that somewhere I can't remember where, but there are, so if you're into that stuff you can search it on line , I'm sure. My advice is...be happy on what God sends you either a boy or a girl will be a blessing for your family.

Male sperm (y) swim faster but die sooner! Female sperm (x) live a few days longer than the y's and can swim for longer peiords of time thus get further...
So if you want a boy then have sex the same day of your ovulation or one day before! The male sperm will swim to your egg first.
If you want a girl then have sex about 3-4 days before you ovulate but no closer! In the process of swimming to the egg the males will get there and there will be no egg to fertilize and they will die giving the female sperm a chance to swim up just in time for the egg to drop.
It's not 100% effective And you have to make sure your are on a very regular cycle and know exactly the day that you will ovulate. (usually 16 days from your last period)
Good Luck!

Male sperm have longer tales than that of the female sperm which allows them to swim faster therefore reaching the egg first but male sperm only live up to three days in the females body female sperm live up to five days.
So to try for a boy have sex three days prior to ovulating and for a girl have sex 5 days before ovulating to ensure the male sperm have died.

You cant select gender or you would be God! When i found out i was pregnant and told my brother he and his fiance started praying that i would have a girl and we are told to ask God for what we want and if it is his will then he will answer our prayer!! So i guess what i am saying is pray and if it is meant to be what you want then it will be!
I am having a girl! GOOD LUCK!!!!

There are various theories on how to select the gender of your child.
None are known to be 100% reliable.
The only thing you can guarantee is the species.
