If i had sex one week before my period was supposed to start, and i got pregnant...would i get my period the next week?? And if i didnt....should i still wait until the next month and see if i get it before taking a test?.... how long after you have sex should you wait to take a pregnancy test? Im really getting anxious to know...and its only been about two weeks...should i wait until next month and see if i get my period?? could i take a test now, and if i did would it be accurate?? or should i wait a couple more weeks before taking one?? sorry so many questions lol just anxious/nervous/excited

If you had sex one week before your period was supposed to start and you became pregnant you would not expect to get a period next week. I wouldn't personally rush out and get a test but just wait and see if you get your period next week. If you don't consult with your doctor who will be able to take a blood test to determine if you are pregnant or not. There are also home use pregnancy tests that you can use as early as 2 weeks. I hope this helps. I wouldn't wait around too long to find out as there are things like folic acid that you should take while pregnant to help the growth of your baby...good luck and I hope everything turns out how you hope it will.

You can buy a pregnancy test that is good on the first day of a missed period. Some even claim to work before then. Do the test first thing in the morning when your hormone levels, if you are pregnant, will be highest. If the test is positive, congratulations. If it is negative but your period doesn't start, you can repeat the test a few days later. Good luck!

I was once told to wait 40 days after my last period. That gives about 4 weeks for the next cycle and 2 weeks late time. For me, at that time, I counted and was on day #37 and no period. I was definitely pregnant. I think you probably won't be able to judge by after you have sex. Moreso, after you miss your scheduled period. Wait 2 more weeks, then check. Hey, maybe those so-called "early detection" over the counter tests would work.

You can buy an early pregancy test that tests around 10 days after you had sex. I detected my pregnancy only 8 days later. They are only 80% accurate though. Buy a double test. Test now and then in a week. You can get them at any drugstore.
You can stress yourself into not getting a period too.

ummm so much here. i would not wait until next month to test that is for sure. if you were to be pregnant then you'd want to be eating and drinking right. if this is a week before your period then if you are late, a few days then you'd want to test for sure.
if you are trying i wish you luck. if not, i hope you get your period on time. need to put your mind at ease....
