I think you should just be honest with him. You don't feel romantic about him and don't wish to hurt him by stringing him along.

How old are you?

If you are young, I think you are too young to be in a relationship where you think you shouldn't talk to other people.

If you are older than 18, you should know that dating is the time of your life when you are trying to decide which person you might like to spend the rest of your life with. It might mean that you will date lots of men and get to know them (before you become intimately involved with them).

Take your time, there are a whole lot of fish in the sea, sometimes you reel 'em in and they are keepers, sometimes you reel 'em in and you throw 'em back!

Nobody says you've got to keep the first one you catch!

Good Luck!

Just tell him that, that you want to be single to meet new people because you like other people and you don't want to end up cheating on him. Or just tell him that you aren't interested in him anymore. (Or in a nicer way).

Say: " I think we need some time a part" or " It's over I want out", if he says why or what happened you say " It's not me it's you" unless you want to say" Its not you it's me"

Or meet with another guy and tell him to come at the same place, then when he comes you say " Oh No, you have discovered me, in my secret affair blah blah (speech, don't let him talk) I understand if u don't want to see me ever again" at this point you just leave the place , while he is stilled stunned

Why do you need a reason??? You already stated one, so don't conjure up some lie. Just tell him what you told us.

YOu: Hey bf, I don't want us to be bf & gf anymore.
Him: Why????
You: I just want to be single and I wanted you to know first.
Him: What did I do???
You: Nothing. I just want to be single. I hope you understand. Goodbye.

You should never find a reason. Just let him know that you weren't ready for a relationship and that you made a mistake jumping into something you weren't ready for. Honesty.

Well first of all you should tell him right away, don't put it on the back burner... think how you would feel being in his situation... dont be cruel and mean!! BE honest and tell him whats in your heart... Thats all you can do, don't lie to the guy. Good luck!!

Sweetheart, the fact that you no longer wish to date him is reason enough. Simply tell him what you've told us (that it's not working out and you want to take some time and be single), and you'll be fine.

You go girl!

tell him your both young and you feel like you need to be single so you can enjoy your young years, bc it's true also, if it helps, tell him the honest to god truth,...if u were to stay together against those feelings your afraid you wouldn't be faithful and it's not fair to him or you.

Give him the reason that you are breaking off with him for... (don't you know?)
And women complain that this is what always happens to them!
