If you support freedom then why are you jailing people that have done what they chose to do?
Besides America is nowhere near unique with their freedoms.
I can cross a street without being penalised for jaywalking and I can buy beer from a supermarket on a Sunday if I wished to.
Considering terrorism laws and political correctness laws are you sure the freedom you celebrate is really freedom.
America lives in a star spangled bubble their politicians create to give them the illusion that the rest of the world don't have it as good as them.

Read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution; now if we could just remember how to live up to it, we would find our way back to a country unafraid, proud, honorable and all it used to be and can be again.

Just the fact I can sit here tonight and have the right to do this; the fact a soldier is fighting and has fought so that I am free, I guess could set us apart.

I am so grateful I have liberties and when the flag passes in a parade or anywhere, I get goosebumps. I believe most Americans wouldn't trade spots with anyone which doesn't mean they don't respect or love other countries...

I just read the comment of the woman who's husband is serving his third tour of duty in Iraq and I wanted to just send you loving support. I wish you and your family goodness and that he and the others are surrounded with an army of Angels to protect them and return them home safe. They truly are heroes making a difference for those people, I simply don't have all the answers but do know that.

First off, i love america, I've friends in Iraq and half of the ones that came back couldn't get a job anywhere because they're not mentally stable.

we have the freedom to worship who we choose, however we will be discriminated by white, protestant Bible thumpers.

we have the freedom to look at others, and so does the government, who won't stop even if they break the consitution this country was based in.

we have the freedom to dress anyway we choose, however the TV will tell us "what not to wear" and what we should buy in order to keep up with the rest and so we don't get discriminated, stared and laughed at.

we have the freedom to marry who we want to, unless we're gay... or if our partners are not legally in the country, they could be deported imediately, even if we already have kids.

we have the freedom to buy what we want and have thousands of dollars in debt, which will most likely destroy our well-being and lifestyle within a few years. Also, if the items are imported from another country, they are limited by lenghty "safety and responsibility" clauses, specially food-wise.

we have the freedom to go to bed anytime we want, as long as matches our work schedule, specially if we consider the millions of people who must get two jobs to be able to afford their living and medical expenses, since the US doesn't have any decent housing or medical assistance program.

we have the freedom to drive any type of vehicle we want, again, as long as we make sure to allow our credit to be charged.

we have the freedom to sit here and chat on the computer, unlike the rest of the world who doesn't own internet and can't get to it. America is the only country that will let you access the internet in the whole world. (tongue in cheek)

we have the freedom to have as many kids as we want, but if we want to send them to a decent college.... that's another story.

do you need any more? 'Cause it seems like America does. Seems like we're in the thickest Virtual Freedom this world has ever seen. We think we're in control of our lives, but we are trained to choose as we're told.

The libs just can't answer a question without slamming Bush.

Can anyone name ONE of our freedoms given to all Americans from our fore-fathers that has been taken away.

I can name one that is constantly being eroded away by the left. But can you name just ONE that the right is attempting to remove. Show your facts, don't just run your mouth.

Except for a few scattered countries in the world, we have a large amount of economic freedom.

What kind of knucklehead gets their info from "prison planet" hahhahahaha. That whole website prays on people without an education. Its so sad.

We have the freedom to arrest and detain Americans for a broadly defined crime and are under no obligation to admit this person is arrested or allow this person to challenge his or her detention.
Not only that but we can deny a detained person of interest the right to know what charges they are facing or what evidence is being used against them... or even the right to face ones accusers. How's THAT for freedom?

How can you be so sure that American freedoms are unique? The attitude reflected by your question reinforces how Americans are viewed as blinkered around the world.
