The only mods i have on the car right now are short tube edelbrock headers and i have the stock exhaust that the 2002 pontiac firehawk's came out with. Any ideas that would make it sound aggressive without switching out the whole exhaust, or would i need to switch out for the sound?

I had a Camaro with the same engine in it. If you want a really mean sounding exhaust get the SLP Loudmouth I. I had that system on my car and it sounds like a straight up race car. You will not get any more aggressive than it. It isn't as expensive as some systems and the result is something you will be happy with. Don't settle for something that isn't what you want.

See SLP performance there exhaust will rattle windows and the firehawk is perfect for cat back . Or Afterthoughts Auto Dot Com. Deanne handles the best exhaust and has a Firehawk herself! I purchased "SLP Lould Mouth 1" system for my 6.0 liter GTO and could not be happier. Then after the next pay check Random Technology High flow cat converters.

Nice car! Yeah, Flowmaster exhaust. Cat back. American Thunder series I believe (thats what fits my Camaro).

just go buy some flowmaster mufflers. u can listen to their mufflers on the websites. my friend had flowmasters on his 4.6 ford and it sounded bad ***. and the pontiac firehawk is bad *** too by the way

IMO the ls1 sounds the meanest when its flowing into a borla cat back exhaust system. but your going to pay for it. flowmaster will sound good, but lack in performance.

Go with either glasspack, or catback exhaust system. Catback would deliver better performance, however isnt legal in all states
