And democrats.

There is a game going on here. Let's suppose for argument's sake that all parties believed that the poor and working class needed a tax break. The candidates who made the most noise in favor of this proposal would get the least amount of corporate donations into their campaign fund, and would have to struggle financially to keep up with other candidates exposure in the media. This would affect the tone of the campaign, and pretty soon, the candidate with the least amount of noise in favor of this proposal would be the front-runner, both in funding and in the polls. Do you see the picture? This is how corporations select the candidates that will eventually appear on our ballots on election day.

So the opposite would be Clinton's tax increase on the wealthiest Americans. I make 45 a year and saw my taxes increase. I guess that makes me rich in Clinton's world. I would support a candidate who supported across the board tax cuts or better yet, a fair tax or flat tax.

Not me. If we tax the wealthy more, what would they do to replace that money in the economy? When we have a healthy economy, everyone benefits from it.

Taxing the rich doesn't help the poor. It helps the government grow bigger, more dangerous and more intrusive.
