I use lol and wtf often, but usually just to soften an answer, let the person know that I was joking.

I try to use complete words. It doesn't take that much longer to spell something out than it does to type slang. I do use lol and roflmao when a question is funny. But otherwise I spell the words.

not really, i am old school i was taught how to type on a 'typewriter'- do any of you remember those!!?
