The best way to make your husband happy is to be happy with yourself. Marriage is a give and take relationship if you have interests together and apart you have something to offer in day to day conversation and everyone wants to be around a happy person. Years ago there was a book written (1970's) called the Total Woman some of it doesn't really apply now but she makes some good points. I found it at a tag sale. maybe Amazon has it if you are curious to read it.

When I come home and don't hear a bunch of bitching and complaining, that kinda makes me happy.
Usually means my wife is not home though.
When I'm treated with at least as much respect at home as I am at work, that makes me happy.
That usually means I'm at someone elses home.
I never want anyone to get me anything, but if they offered say like "can I get you something while I'm up?" That would be nice.
But then I might thing that someone thought I was worth a little extra effort.
If someone ever actually listened to what happened at work today, as if they cared, well that I guess would make me think that someone cared.
Respect is the biggest one. Ya a bunch of idiots are gonna say beer and pu$$y, but respect, women don't respect men much any more, mostly due to the conditioning by the television I suppose. People have come to think that it's funny to treat the man of the house like crap (disrespect) but ALL men hate that, and resent whoever disrespects them in their own house.
Men like to talk about their day. Problem is nobody wants to hear about it. It requires effort just to understand a mans day at work, with a bunch of freakin monkeys, running around, messing things up, and doing it all wrong.
You Will Never Be Able To Appreciate What He Goes Through Each Day If He Can't Tell You About It.
I would be happy if someone could just appreciate what I must do to support their lifestyles.
You could actually simplify your question by asking "What are some ways I could demonstrate my respect and appreciation for my husband?"
Because that is it in a nutshell, the rest is just smiles, giggles, politeness.

Honey,
I've bent, warped, and twisted ,myself to try and make my husband happy, until I realised that it doesn't matter what I do, He'll never be happy from anything I do. He needs to be happy from within himself. Sure we( myself or the kids) can make him smile, or give him different types of temporary satisfaction, but true happiness must be his own responsibility.
That's why we are separated .
I am happy.

Every man is different just as what makes a woman happy. Why don't you communicate with him and listen to the things he likes find out his wants and needs. and then go from there pleasing him.

I am so happy that we share the same husband. I have been giving he some good massages. It is your turn to take over. Sometimes he likes his tummy rubbed.
Seriously, give him a genital massage. Everything, the sack along with the penis. It will drive him wild.

Sit him on the couch....
Yourself have sex with a Victoria Secrets Model while he watches while holding the remote.
Tell him you won the lottery that you are giving him every cent and....
That you are leaving and getting a divorce...
And that he can keep the Model for a souvenir

Not real sure, sex everynight, cook him supper, clean the house so he doesn't have to , make sure the kids are quiet, pack his lunch for work, and then if he ask you may need to wipe his a--.....but i bet he still won't be happy because that is just how men are.....sorry

Tie him up in chains in the kitchen with enough slack to do the cooking and the dishes.
Shorter chains for doing the bathrooms.
He will love you forever.
