Eating oatmeal is not enough fiber in your diet. Trying eat prunes or prune juice. If eating the prunes does not help you go to the bathroom then you should go to the doctor as there could be something that is wrong with you. If I was you then I would be making a drs appt. asap!

You absolutely must see a doctor. I understand that your mom may have money problems, but if you have access to a computer and not access to health care, that is very screwed up! A health care professional cannot refuse to see you because you do not have insurance. When you go to the doctor, you sign a paper that says that you are responsible to pay the bill if you do not have insurance. When the bill comes, if you still cannot pay, what you have to do is make arrangements. They can reduce your monthly payment, or remove it if you fall within Federal Poverty Guidelines. You need to tell your school nurse that you need to see a doctor and your mom can't afford it and refuses to take you. Tell a teacher that you trust that you really really are not feeling well, and ask to go to the nurse.
Also, you can ask your school counselor to call your mom or make a referral--they will help you find a medical professional, and are required BY LAW to keep things private. No one will make fun of you, I promise.

This is very Serious! See a doctor asap. In the mean time try some kind of laxative because you need to get the fecal matter out somehow. It doesn't go away so it just gets impacted inside of you which will end up poisoning ur body. I Had a client so impacted that it was all the way in her stomach and she was throwing it up. And she smelt really really bad. Go to the ER there has to be one around that will except you without insurance.

There is more to eating some oatmeal for fiber. You may need to change your whole diet to include more veggies and fruit. You need about 26 grams of fiber a day and it is very hard to get that. Start by keeping track of the amount of fiber in your foods. You might want to talk to your doctor about changing your eating habits and seeing a specialist. It is very important to get your movements more regular. Good luck.

First off don't be embarassed....a lot of women have this problem. I'm a little over 40 and have had that problem my whole life, until now...I take stool softners...I started with 2 a day until I finally had a decent poop and then one a day....right now I only take one on days I don't poop. Most of the time I'm pooping 2 times a day, sometimes 3. It's such an awesome feeling to have an empty system. I'm losing weight so much easier now too.

Honey, I don't know. Maybe you should see a doctor. Drinking water is great, and oatmeal is good for you, so I'm not seeing a pattern here.( I could understand if you were eating junk or something)but it sounds like you eat pretty heathy, you need to just go and have that looked at. I'm sure its nothing, but just see a doc, just in case. Good luck!!

Boy your going to HATE it when you lock up!
You should have a bowel movement at least twice a day.
Just eating Oatmeal alone is not going to help you.
Go to Wal-Mart & buy you some Fiber Tabs.

This is what you need to do because i had the same problem, start walking, start eating blueberries (put them in your cereal or yogurt), also drink alot of water, prunes help also. It seems the blueberries really helped me. It's not good to let those feces stay in your colon/intestines. There are also fiber supplements but they didn't help me much. Best of luck to you.

Try laxative or stool softener. You should not be in pain when you have a bowel movement, and I don't believe it's normal to go once every two weeks. Please see a doctor to get help and answers.
