Try Catalina Island, off the coast of southern California. It is very laid back and very beautiful. Wonderful snorkeling, a cute little town with good shopping. Everything is within walking distance, or you can rent bikes or golf carts to get around. Here's a link to tell you more:

Bali in the South Pacific where the rooms are all located on the water. You use boats to get to your room. If that is a bit too far then look to the Mountains in North Georgia, a cabin with a hot tub outside under the stars and no one in site but the lightning bugs you and him.

maybe a nice relaxing trip at a spa in colorado. or head to vegas and just have some fun! im thinking it has been a while since you have seen one another, so i think something intimate, romantic, and the less people the better would be ideal. there are a lot of great hotels around texas and the surrounding states that you could have a spa weekend. another great idea is taking a cruise out of galveston.
