my daughters dr gave her a perscription, and she has been sleepin basically since i gave it to her, is this normal. i read the sheet they sent with the meds,and it doesn't mention anything bout drowiness, so i'm not sure, so any help anyone can give is great thank you

Well, I'm in my 40s and it makes me sleepy, so I'm sure it does the same to a baby! Check with your pharmacist!

If she's on amoxicilian...chances are she had an ear infection or something equally as painful..maybe she's able to catch up on the sleep that she lost when this was hurting her...IF she had a problem with being allergic to this ( my daughter is allergic to the entire "cillian" family and the bactrin family) she would break out into little white dots covering an intense red skin...she's just resting...

Well it could be helping her relax. She has medication because she is sick. My kids once they are being treated rest easier. If you feel she is having an allergic reaction I would contact a doctor on the phone and see what he/she recommends.

No, it doesn't. Fighting the illness might though. You should check for a fever though - that could be dangerous for a baby.

It should not make her drowsy!! she is prob just sleeping alot because she does not feel good!!! It you are really concerned about it call the doc!!! Good luck!!!

our baby daughter and son were on that and they only got diahrea. you better ask the parmacy tomorrow.

not in my experience - but id ring the chemist and ask them - they will know. or ur doctor of course, if ur concerned.
