On amazon I found a intel pentium II 450 mhz processor by intel but I also found a intel Pentium III that is 450 mhz processor they are all slot 1 which one should I buy?

the one that is a pentium III is your best bet it is more up to date then the pentium II

I'd buy the Pentium 3, should be a little better architecture.

Like the others have stated, the 450Mhz came in both P-II and P-III. the difference is in the chipset instructions. The speed is the same.

I would by the III as well. Taking chances isn't good. the above poster is right

That is the only one (450Mhz) that was made in both P2 and P3.
Whichever one your motherboard supports would be fine.
