everything is done with a purpose to be solved and if something is done without a purpose then still there will results or consequences. And if we do anything we will out of existence. We will not be fit to live. Remember survival of the fittest. Even a monk sitting under the tree with his eyes closed is doing some thing for some purpose. Stagnant water cannot be fresh. We are nor trees or rocks to be in a place. If we dont move we are finished.

There are many reasons. Most people do things because it brings some sort of benefit either to themself or others. The arguement has often been made that there are no truly unselfish acts, because the person doing them always gets something out of it, even if it is a positive sense of the self for having done what they knew to be right.

People do things because they are motivated- either by good or bad influences, or else to get the attention they crave. They do some things for self satisfaction or a sense of accomplishment. Other things they just do because they HAVE to be done.
