It is a great opportunity. When I was in high school we had an exchange student from South Africa stay with us for about 6 months. It was really cool having a "big brother" for a while...and I learned alot about how the non-Africans live in Cape Town...His family had emigrated from Poland before he was born. He also had great insight into what racism was truly about...we had many great discussions.

If you have a chance to go and learn in another country you should jump on it! It is the chance of a life time that you will never forget. Have fun and take lots of pictures!!! :)

I say go for it. I'm actually planning on studying abroad next fall in London. What's there to lose....new atmosphere, new culture, new people, new experiences, new memories, fun times...?
Yes, trust me I know it's expensive but it all a matter of you making the trip and NOT the trip making you. England is England but you are a new, fresh face in England and its up to you to make your experience memorable..
Have fun!!!

I went briefly in college and really loved it, I can't wait to go back. It puts you in the middle of so much amazing culture with a great mix of people from all over the world, and you are so close to places like Paris for a weekend trip. I would say go for it and have a wonderful time!

Studying abroad would be great. It doesn't have to be England. Americans especially should take any opportunity they can to travel abroad - so few do.
