I personally don't believe it's that linear. A person's ability to make or inherit money is not based in genetics but rather social experience. Therefore, there are many subjective factors that are present when discussing the likeness of people with wealth.
Firstly, you can seperate those who have inherited wealth from those who have worked hard from it and may come from poor or middle class backgrounds.
Second, the person's family environment has much to do with it. While the person may have been breought up with money it doesn't mean they have been brought up with an exclusionist attitude. Thier family may be very down to earth or not.
Third, they may have had money and lost it or vice versa.

There are so many factors to consider. I have a number of very 'high class' friends, who are some of the nicest people I know. I wouldn't be friends with them otherwise. Each human being is made up of genetics, environment and previous experience with any given situation. Therefore, you can't necessarily determine traits according to money or status.

I would like to second itwog's list. Classiness, to me, has nothing to do with income or house size, it has to do with compassion and grace toward others, comfort with one's own standard of living.

It is unfortunate that the mass media access has pigeonholed so many people's opinions. What can be done to introduce the concept of separating truth and fiction today, with all the semi-reality shows out there? They are hardly reality, the best term I think would be unscripted shows.

i dont know high class people these days because these people do not show up in public places as they use to back in the 60'70's so what we are left with are middle to upper middle class people who have either worked their way up financially or have been this way thruout family hx.High class is someone who know they are and doesn't flaunt it or isn't condescending what we have these days aren't high class people but people who think they are
