He left the show...The same with Christie Clark aka Carrie Brady and Austin Peck aka Austin Reed.
Farah Fath aka Mimi Lockhart and Brody Hutzler aka Patrick Lockhart are leaving in February.
I think I read that the Jack and Jennifer characters were leaving too.

He left in order to persue movies and producing. He also is looking to spend some time with his family and friends. The new guy that they casted in his spot is not new to the show. He actually had a small part with bo about a year or so ago. Mimi is leaving in Feb and rumor has it that Patrick will be too. Phillip will be leaving salem within the next week. At this time they don't have a replacement for him yet but they will soon.

This new guy does not smile and I do not think that he knows how to!
