First, survey the clinic on the subject area in which they need an inservice. You may make a few recommendations to see what grabs their interests. The best inservices are on new modalities, treatment principles, surgeries, and areas of PT that are not seen every day. Here are some ideas:

Differential Diagnosis and Medical Referrals
Vestibular Rehab
TMD
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Neural Tension
Medical Imaging: MRIs, XRAYs, etc.
Pharmacology & PT
PT for Pregnacy and Post-Partum
Evidence Based Practice
Pilates for Core Stability
SI Joint
Ergonomics

Physical Therapy Inservice Materials

Teaching and Physical Therapy go hand in hand. In this area we hope to provide a large list of inservice presentations that deal with neuromusculoskeletal health.
Our goal is to provide 52+ of these inservice Power Point files. One for each week of the year, and a large enough variety that you will be sure to find the information you need. Do you have an inservice that you could share with your coleagues online? Send your document to: pt@ptcentral.com with the title (bold) in the upper left corner of each page, and your name in the upper right corner.

If you have ideas, concerns or suggestions, we would be very interested in hearing them. Email them to: pt@ptcentral.com. You can download the free PDF viewer here.

i did an inservice over some common medications that relate to outpatient physical therapy. Broke it down to 3 groups: pain meds, anti-inflamatories, and muscle relaxants. Just gave some common info, side effects and what other meds could have an effect on certain medications. Good luck!
