It could be a UTI or a kidney stone. Have you had any pain in sides or back? Sometimes when you pass a kidney stone, they "scratch" the sides of the ureter and cause it to bleed. I wouldn't worry about it. Go back in a month, get tested. If it is still not resolved the doctor will want you to have further tests.

If it doesn't go away on it's own you will need further testing.

1) See a Urologist
2) Urologist may order additional tests including a CT Scan with contrast media.
3) If still a problem the doctor may insert a small camera device through the urethra and have a look around.

I recently went through the CT Scan, but it went away on its own and every thing came back negative so I didn't have the camera.
