I already defined them in the other questions.

The difference is nothing more than a power struggle between two ways of handling matters. The Liberal will try and tell you that everthing is wrong and can be done better by changing thing, redefinig things and reorganizing things. The conservative will tell you that things are not as bad as they seem and that there are resource out there that can solve all your problems if you just give them a chance. In the US, Liberal means young and or Democrat. Conservative means old and or Republican. Both mean rich because they have to be to be allowed to talk. Liberals are thought primarily to come from the north east and California. Conservatives are thought to be from the Bible belt and farming regions.

You will find in other countries the segregation between the two groups is pretty much the same though the party names are different.

Liberal - It's really a misleading word. Liberals are for big government deciding for you. They are only for civil liberties when it is convenient

Conservative - Small government. As Ruth said, "government is a necessary evil". Individual liberties, including the 2nd amendment, should be protected. The free market system should be embraced.

The Republicans aren't conservative by any means, but they're not as bad as the Democrats...

An example: Look at how all the "liberal" judges voted and how the "right wing extremist" judges voted in Kelo vs. New London. If you paid any attention to your civil rights in the 1990s, you would have noticed that Clinton was far more dangerous to have in power than the guys in power now. Most of what I hear people complaining about when it comes to Bush and civil liberties has to do with the apparant rights guaranteed under the constitution of the US to foreigners...

Kelo actually used to own the house a few doors down from where I am right now; her kids own it today. Small world.

The difference between a liberal and a conservative is 20 years and 6 inches. I'll leave it to you decide who has what.

Conservatives have faith in the strengths of persons, no longer feeding the weaknesses. Conservatives have faith in classic family individuals values. Conservatives have morals, and a feeling of consumer-friendly decency. super question, megastar time!

I just tried to email you, but it would not go through because your email is "not confirmed". My question to you was this... why are you asking so many questions on this subject? Because either you are looking for some guidance, or support on the ideas you already have... My problem is that the views you are receiving from people on the other side are not entirely giving you accurate views of the opposing party... if that makes sense..... you know... just the straight up bashing... republicans believe This... well hopefully in your other answer of WHY you are one way, that will help you

A liberal is basically a democrat with a humanitarian education that believes in social justice, separation of church and state, the labor movement, a re-distribution of wealth through fair taxation(rich to poor), pro-choice (abortion), less gov't intrusion into average citizen lives, and they consist of basically the poor and middle-class.

A conservative is someone who believes about the opposite of what a liberal does. They are usually republicans that are elitely rich enough to actually be republicans or they consider their political party as republican based on one separate issue rather than where they actually fit (see above answer). They don't favor change, they'd rather be told what to believe and promote it, than get informed and decide the best option. Some conservatives aren't as stupid as this definition portrays them to be, but it's not their fault that they haven't had any good candidates to work with lately.

Liberals: Replace religion and morality with government...

Conservatives: Government is a necessary evil...

Oh, and contrary to what liberals will tell you, most conservatives are what used to be called the middle class... Working people that want to take care of their own families... And plan their own CHARITABLE giving...

Liberalism Defined - "If you are young, and not liberal, then you don't have a heart. If you are old, and not conservative, then you don't have a brain."- Winston Churchill

Liberals seek to protect the rights of the individual against the powerful: corporations, big-money, big churches.

Republicans cozy up to the powerful and seek to place curbs on the individual to make him subservient to power and wealth.
