all these answers are good. also try laying on your back with a pillow under your knees . this will reduce pressure to your spine. keep your legs up often . if it gets really bad take Tylenol which is safe during pregnancy.

If you are not currently pregnant, you can use a heating pad, or take a hot bath or shower all you want. But if you are pregnant, hot is not a very good idea. Best of luck to you.

i've heard they are generally ok if not too hot.
but what works for me with back pain is lying on my side with a pillow in between my legs.
i am 34 weeks pregnant now.

Yes as long as it is on your back and not too hot. Also try a warm(not hot) bath...this has always helped me.
